An age-old rivalry finally gets settled.

Minotaur takes place in a home of books, of readers, of artists. It’s also a home of soft light, of eternal afternoons, of sleepiness, of dreams. The home is impermeable to the world. Mexico is on fire, but the characters of Minotaur sleep soundly.

The story of a small Minotaur who tries to find playmates in the endless labyrinth while his Dad is at work. He only manages to meet mythological characters, busy with their own ambitions.

An absurdist fable set in the numerous parallel realities of late-1990s Serbia. As a family disintegrates, Szabolcs Tolnai’s film effortlessly combines melancholic ruminations on middle age with dollops of unlikely colour, rejuvenation and invisible art projects.

“Minotaur” follows Luc, a cold-blooded killer who escapes Paris’s criminal underbelly for the more prosaic North Wales. There he meets Angel who lives in a struggling community she feels she can never belong to, raising her son Joe alone.

This staging of Harrison Birtwistle's opera The Minotaur features John Tomlinson, Johann Reuter, Christine Rice, and Andrew Watts in the main roles. Stephen Langridge directed the production for the stage, and Antonio Pappano conducted the orchestra.

1896. The regiment, stationed in a small town, is bored, drunk, languishing in soullessness. Lieutenant Romashov falls in love with the captain's wife Shurochka. Society is abuzz on the subject. A quarrel arises between the captain and the lieutenant.

Tormented by the worthlessness and boredom of life, the official Laevsky longs to break the vicious circle of his existence at any cost. His moral antipode, the naturalist Von Koren, is convinced that people like Laevsky are worthy of destruction. But, contrary to the wishes and will of the heroes, providence decides their fates in its own way.
